The Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence is a private, nonprofit organization composed of domestic violence programs, battered/formerly battered women and individuals who share a common vision of eliminating violence against women, oppression and the circumstances that contribute to any person across the lifespan living in fear within their families, intimate relationships, or in caregiving relationships.

We achieve our mission and vision through public policy, advocacy, education and activities that increase the capacity of programs and communities to mobilize to end domestic violence.

The effort for a strong Violence Against Women Act that protects all victims, including immigrant, LBGT and Tribal victims, continues. The House version of VAWA, H.R. 4970, contains harmful provisions and eliminates safety enhancements contained in the Senate version. A vote on this bill may come as early as next week.
