AffiliationsIn addition to local domestic violence programs and community agencies, WCADV has long standing relationships with five key Wisconsin non-profit domestic violence organizations. American Indians Against Abuse (AIAA)Refugee Family Strengthening Project (RFSP) UNIDOS Against Domestic Violence Wisconsin Batterers Treatment Provider Association (WBTPA) American Indians Against Abuse (AIAA)AIAA is a non-profit coalition dedicated to: providing a network for all eleven Wisconsin Tribes to work against abuse and sexual assault; planning, implementing and operating programs designed to fulfill the purposes of AIAA: providing culturally sensitive education and information about abuse and sexual assault; encouraging referrals to be made to the Wisconsin Native American Shelters and to other local abuse and sexual assault services; and supporting intervention and prevention programs. AIAA is implementing a statewide CCR project to examine tribal code and its implementation in the state of Wisconsin. AIAA can be reached at (715) 634-9980. Refugee Family Strengthening Project (RFSP)The Refugee Family Strengthening Project (RFSP) has been in existence since 1994. The Project provides culturally and linguistically competent services to Southeast Asian refugees at five sites throughout the State of Wisconsin. There are three major components to the project: prevention, education, and intervention on domestic abuse issues. The WBTPA has been established as a project of the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence (WCADV). Local batterers treatment providers are eligible to join the WBTPA as an Individual and/or Program Member. |
