Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence (WCADV) is committed to ensuring your privacy when using our web site. By using the WCADV web site, you consent to our use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
WCADV does not require any personal information from you in order to browse our site.
Any information VOLUNTARILY given to us will be used solely for the purposes expressed. Information you provide to us may be kept in a database, but that database is not located on the web. We will not disclose your name or other identifying information we collect from this site to anyone outside of WCADV without your permission, unless required by law.
MAILING LISTS AND LIST-SERVES
- By joining WCADV, you will automatically be placed on our mailing list to receive the Education Journal, renewal notices, and other pertinent information sent to all members.
- When you donate to WCADV, you will be automatically added to our mailing list and may receive additional mailings from us.
- You may choose to subscribe to a list-serve or e-mail list described on our site that is not sponsored by WCADV. Each list-serve has its own policies, which are generally sent to you when you subscribe. We are not responsible for the privacy policies for list-serves not managed by WCADV.
- List-serves sponsored by WCADV (http://lists.wcadv.org) do not share e-mail addresses or identification to anyone outside WCADV without participant permission.
- Participant identification will not be shared with other list members unless specified in the list's guidelines.
- You may contact our office if you wish to be removed from any mailing list.

Financial information transmitted online is protected by secure digital certificate from GeoTrust.
E-MAIL PRIVACY
E-mailing WCADV using the web site's contact form does not use your e-mail software. A copy of your e-mail will NOT be saved in your Sent Items folder. Remember that e-mail is not necessarily secure against interception. If your communication is sensitive or includes personal information you may prefer to send it by postal mail instead.

This site contains links to other sites you may choose to visit by clicking on the link. We provide the links to help you find additional information and services. WCADV is not responsible for the content of these sites or their privacy practices.
INFORMATION COLLECTED AND STORED AUTOMATICALLY
A unique number called an IP address is assigned to your computer every time you connect to the internet. WCADV uses IP address information to log site traffic without knowing individual identities of users. We may track site traffic by individual user when you log on as a member.
COOKIES AND TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive, to assist in communicating with the web site. WCADV stores session ID's as cookies during browsing, which do not contain any personal information. We place cookies on member computers when they log in, to make it easier to log in to future sessions.
Your computer stores a list of sites you have visited as temporary internet files, also called a cache. You can clear this list, although IT IS NOT A SURE METHOD OF COMPLETELY ERASING YOUR BROWSING HISTORY. Options for deleting temporary internet files and cookies can be found in Internet Explorer's Tools>Internet Options menu, or in Netscape's Edit>Preferences menu.
