WCADV/WCASA LGBT CommitteeMission StatementThe LGBT Committee is a committee of the Wisconsin Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Coalitions in Wisconsin. It is a statewide committee whose vision is to give voice to people who are under-represented based on gender identity, sexual identity, and/or sexual orientation; to promote the social changes necessary to end sexual and domestic violence in LGBT Communities by changing societal attitudes, practices and policies through education, advocacy and social action. TrainingTraining to programs is available on how to provide inclusive services to the LGBT Community. LGBT List-serveThere is an active list-serve for LGBT Committee Members. Meeting times and locations, as well as meeting minutes are shared. The list-serve also provides a place for members to disseminate information and any questions or concerns about domestic and sexual violence within the LGBT Community. Grantmaking toolkit on LGBTQ communities of colorFunders for LGBTQ Issues launched a historic, online resource to help grantmakers understand the critical issues facing lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBTQ) communities of color. This toolkit includes a range of original funder tools, perspectives from foundation and nonprofit leaders in the field, related publications and much more.
