TESS Talks: Legal Considerations for Survivors with Disabilities
When:August 18, 2014 from 1-2 PM
Where:At your desk
Join Tess Meuer, Director of Justice Systems, for this month's legal technical assistance topic: Legal Considerations for Survivors with Disabilities.
Can domestic violence program staff ask if an individual entering their program has a disability? Should we ask if a person is taking medications? If someone seeking shelter discloses they are taking prescription medications, should we keep the medications for safety? This webinar will address these practical questions and more.
There will be question and answer time at the end of the hour on the current topic—or any legal topic—of concern to victim advocates.
Every month in 2014, End Abuse legal staff Tess Meuer or Morgan Young will highlight a current legal issue or trend for advocates in WI. We welcome you on one Monday of every month for TESS Talks: legal information worth sharing or Mondays with Morgan. Join us for this monthly series!
