DAIS is the leading provider of domestic violence intervention and prevention services in Dane County. Founded in 1977, DAIS has grown from its humble beginnings of five volunteers working out of a church basement, to an organization of close to 30 full-time staff, numerous part-time staff, and over 130 volunteers providing comprehensive prevention and intervention programming to thousands of Dane County residents each year. The organization is on the cusp of substantial growth in programming and the required staff and volunteer corps to support that programming. Additionally, the organization is in the midst of constructing a new facility slated to open in the summer of 2014.
 
DAIS is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing team. The individual in this position is responsible for maintaining a presence at the main entrance, managing building access by visitors, and monitoring security systems. The Front Desk Receptionist serves as a first point of contact for visitors; controls building access by users in accordance with established security procedures; monitors building security systems; connects visitors to appropriate personnel; responds to client queries in a trauma-informed manner; investigates disturbances; responds to emergency situations and completes appropriate paperwork.
 
A successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of reception experience that includes managing high levels of security and strict building access. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a High School diploma or GED/HSED.
